Description Of Apples To Apples
|
|
| The game play of Apples To Apples
uses only two decks of cards. One deck of cards is for ‘Things’ and
is the bunch of red apple cards. The other deck is for
‘Descriptions,’ and is the bunch of green apple cards. The red apple
cards contain nouns that refer to a place, person or thing. The
green cards contain adjectives that describe the nouns. Examples of
words on red cards are “dolphins”, “policeman” or “bank”. The green
cards could contain descriptions like “shy”, “scared” or “blue”.
Most of the cards contain a little funny one liner. |
 |
There is a referee appointed for the game. Seven
cards from the Things deck or red cards are dealt out to the players.
The referee selects a Description or green card and the players try to
pick things that match the description. The referee gets to choose the
thing that appeals most to him. The player who held the red card that
gets chosen gets to keep the corresponding green card. Players have to
be quick in deciding which of their red cards matches the green card and
then toss it in. the last player to toss in his red card is a ‘rotten
apple’ and has to take his card back. |
