The popularity of Axis & Allies is proved by the existence of several Axis & Allies Clubs the world over. Axis & Allies is probably the only game that has had essays written about it. The essays contain several dos and don’ts for gamers and aim at increasing player competence and expertise.

The depth and complexity involved in the game play ensure that all versions and variations of Axis & Allies are engrossing games. The games contain a host of strategic opportunities, elements of unpredictability and plenty of action.

Axis & Allies does have its own drawbacks. The game takes a very long time to set up. The setting up process requires arrangement of hundreds of pieces. Some players complain that the first few turns are very predictable.

However, going by the popularity of the game a few drawbacks do no make the game any less absorbing.
