Description Of Blokus Trignon:

Blokus Trignon

The Blokus Trigon is a delightful variation of Blokus. Blokus Trigon is played on a hexagonal board with triangular pieces. Blokus Trigon is best classified as an abstract strategy game.

The game box brings you the Blokus Trigon game board, the colorful pieces in four bright translucent colors and the instructional booklet.
The pieces in Blokus Trigon are made up of multiple triangles and there are a total of 88 pieces. Players who have played Blokus report that Blokus Trigon is more challenging. The goal of both the games is the same – to place the maximum number of pieces on the board. It requires a lot of strategic thinking to outmaneuver one’s opponents and win the race by placing more pieces on the board faster than them.

The game play involves fitting your pieces tip to tip with other pieces of the same color on the hexagonal game board. The triangular shape of the pieces results in angles jutting out in every direction. This leads to several possibilities of new moves opening up at every placement of a piece. This also means that opponents can block each other at almost every move.

Blokus Trigon is best enjoyed when there are four players involved. It is possible to play Blokus Trigon with three players. No player gets an undue advantage when three players are involved. When three players play, the outermost ring of spaces is omitted to level the number of spaces available. To facilitate a three player game, the outermost ring of spaces is colored differently so that leaving it out is simple. Two players playing Blokus Trigon can take two colors each and play the game. The rules of Blokus Trigon provide for a single player version where one player tries to get rid of all the pieces in a single sitting.

The basic rules are the same. Each new piece placed on the board must touch another piece of the same color at one tip. Adjacent placement of pieces of the same color is not allowed. Blokus Trigon rules award 15 extra points for all pieces placed on the board and 5 extra points of the single triangle is placed last.

The rules of Blokus Trigon are simple to follow. Playing the game however requires abstract thinking.
