Players in RoboRally race to be the first to touch a series of flags.
This is done by programming robots and pitting them against each other.
The race takes place in the robot factory-Grid Widget Factory.
On the way to success, players need to overcome gaping pits, pushers,
crushers, industrial lasers, moving conveyor belts and, of course,
opponents. The races are best described as frantic, destructive and fun!
RoboRally can be played by two players or by two teams that can have up
to eight players. Players can use their weapons to slow down the
opposition. The rules of RoboRally encourage players to think up of
clever strategies and counter strategies.

4 two-sided Factory Floor Boards, 1 two-sided Docking Bay Board, 2

containing 10 pages of rules.
The secret of winning RoboRally lies in safely navigating your robot
through an intricate and deadly maze. Maneuvering program cards are
provided for navigating the robots. These cards allow for moves like
forward moves, backups, left turns, right turns and U-turns. Players are
required to preprogram five movements in advance.
Opponents can fire weapons at each other, push and shove others into
deadly traps and ruin preprogrammed paths.
RoboRally comes with four two sided game boards. These boards can be
arranged in countless different ways to create a different racecourse
every time you play RoboRally. The popular courses used are ten beginner
courses, nineteen expert courses, and five team courses. Each course
gets a rating as short, medium, or long; and as easy, mid, or hard; and,
the optimum number of players is specified.

The game play of RoboRally has several interesting features like the
launch pads, the programming timer, the new boards, and suggested game

The revised editions of RoboRally have incorporated changes that make
the game simpler to use. Larger and thicker cards in the improved
version of RoboRally make for easier handling. Several editions and
expansions of RoboRally are available for enthusiasts.
Revised editions of RoboRally give players options of joining more
boards together. Two boards give a good game layout for 3-6 players.
Carefully constructed plans are needed to ensure that a robot doesn’t
end up in a pit due to a wrong move. This kind of analysis takes time
and as a result a game of RoboRally can stretch over a long time period.
Imposing a time limit for players to execute a turn helps in overcoming
this problem.
